Ciclo de Short Courses

O Núcleo de Formação ao Longo da Vida a informa que vai decorrer mais um Ciclo de Short Courses, composto por três acções de formação, a decorrer entre os meses de outubro e dezembro de 2017. Estas ações de formação destinam-se a alunos, investigadores e alumni do Técnico que pretendam adquirir competências no âmbito da escrita científica, apresentações e/ou comunicações de trabalhos científicos, e/ou teses de doutoramento ou mestrado ou ainda que pretendem adquirir competências no âmbito do design experimental com recurso a uma ferramenta estatística que permita tratar dados num formato mais adequado à publicação de investigações ou trabalhos científicos.

NEW – Scientific Writing & Publication – research papers & thesis

This course aims to develop efficient individual skills in all the steps involved in scientific writing, from content development and organisation to publishing in ISI journals and presenting at conferences. The course is suitable for researchers, master and PhD students and all those required to publish their research findings but have none or little experience in translating research outputs into the commonly accepted publication tools. This is an exclusive opportunity to obtain in key techniques single source that enable the researcher at any level of the career to be independent and efficient in communicating science in the written and spoken formats. Particular emphasis is given on how to best meet the journal editors and reviewers demands. The teaching format includes classic classes with the additional support of exercises, simulations, videos and case studies.

2015 – How to Design Powerful Scientific Experiments – NEW

Training Unit at Técnico Lisboa is pleased to inform that another edition of the Short Course in How to Design Powerful Scientific Experiments will be launched during the current month of may. This short course aims to develop in its participants skills on factorial experimental design which is a high level of statistic tool that allows to get and treat scientific data in a more suitable method to publish scientific and research works. Researchers, master and PhD students developing dissertations and thesis are the main target of this specialized Short Course.

This Short Course will last 20 hours of classroom sessions from 18 a 26 of may at Alameda Campus of IST and English will be the working language. Full program can be viewed at the file indicated as follows.
